Hockley Hustle 09 Animation
We were asked to produce some motion graphics for the Oxfam event, The Hockley Hustle, taking place in Nottingham on 25th October. As well as the short promo featured here, we made a longer loop that would be displayed all around the city as well as a special dual screen version for the Broadway Glass Screen.

Credit Crunch Cereal Ad

Were currently working on a short topical advert for Credit Crunch Cereal - "the food of choice in hard times". This witty creation is the brainchild of comedien and author Shed Simove of www.thetalentshed.com and www.ideasman.co.uk.
Shed is a former producer on Big Brother and has since released a wide range of cleaver novelty products. We met him through one of his recent trips to Nottingham for a very entertaining talk on his exploits.
In an ironic twist, the ad is looking to take the form of a tv loans advert, utlising all the conventions of a mortgage or home loan commercial - ie. bad graphics, in your face text, scrolling small print and confusing percentages! Other plans are for a catchy jingle and maybe even a talking spoon mascot!

"Wasp" video stills

Here's some stills from the recent Max Cooper music video we've just completed. All the visual elements are from original stop frame animations of bugs we bought from the local pet shop. They are each sequenced to represent an element of the track. Working on each sound individually meant that we could really dive deep into what it is to marry visuals and music.

Max Cooper Music video

LoveBite are to produce the next official music video for Traum Record's Max Cooper.

Yes its techno, yes were excited!
The tune is called Wasp, so were planning on doing something related to the theme of swarms/nests/insects. We want to represent each sound of the tune through their own short animation, projected onto a giant white weather balloon, then filmed live. Kind of an animation of an animation, if that makes sense!

Vision 2030 completed
Here's our final animation for the Broadway glass screen, animated from oasis foam blocks. The actual projected outcome is dual projected on the glass front of Broadway Nottingham every evening until the 15th May. If you're in the area, go take a look.
as its weird making a piece without sound, we'll be remixing the vision2030 footage to make some more VJ visuals soon so stay tuned for that!

Vision 2030 concept photos

Here are some early photos for the Broadway commission, Vision 2030. The concept centres around the future of the city being in the hands of the artist, who sculpts and shapes abstract objects from plain grey blocks. These shapes begin to manipulate and interact with each other to create a new dynamic landscape. One Nottingham also plan to have us projected up on the side of Nottingham's Royal Theatre for a week beginning 23rd April.

LoveBite live visuals @ Social Intercourse, Proud Camden 12/02/09
In association with Proud galleries Camden and Conscious culture, SOCIAL INTERCOURSE is an eclectic mix of performing arts, motion graphics, world and fusion music. The evening was hosted by Dr Funk with visuals throughout the night provided by LoveBite. The live music Line Up included:
J-TREOLE: A fantastic four piece musical cocktail of jazz, rap and soul with a sprinkling of Salsa thrown in for good measure described as "...THE most amazing Indie Hip Hop Jazz hot sauce the UK has to offer" Barfly (Jan 2007)
NICK MULVEY: is one of the UK's brightest upcoming musical lights as one quarter of the Mercury Music Prize nominated Portico Quartet or as an engaging and accomplished singer-songwriting guitarist in his own right.
PAMOJA: is a 5-piece Afro beat world music band based in London, and is the brainchild of Simon Chauke. Simon hails from the Limpopo Province of South Africa, a stone throw from the famous Kruger National Park.
It was an awesome night and an amazing crowd. We even got a DJ set in at the end, playing along with the bongo players from Pamoja!
